On Saturday, Nov. 10, The Studio Performing Arts Center hosted “Finding Your Forte: A Sample of The Studio” at their facility in East Lansing, Mich. This particular event was created to bring awareness and interest to The Studio among the greater East Lansing community to showcase the different dance, voice, and acting classes available throughout the year.
In developing this event, the Hubbell Connections team organized everything from the event marketing and logistics to the event sponsorship by located dancewear company Bottoms Up. Our team created flyers that were distributed across campus and throughout the downtown East Lansing area. We had the opportunity to operate their Facebook account to create an event page and to invite people to the actual event.
During this event, students had the opportunity to take 20-minute classes of ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, tap, jazz or lyrical forms of dance. By sampling the classes at The Studio, it allowed participants to interact with the staff first hand before actually signing up for classes. Not only were students given a showcase of the classes offered, but they also had the opportunity to enter a raffle and enjoy refreshments.
Regardless of the size of this event, we believe it was extremely successful. With roughly twenty students in attendance, everyone experienced all the classes that were available. As an account associate, all members of our account team were able to participate in all aspects of planning this event.
