When I joined Hubbell Connections as a freshman I couldn’t believe how great of a resource it was for PR students—it gives anyone the opportunity to gain the valuable skills necessary to land internships. What I was even more surprised by was the amount of students not taking advantage of this great opportunity! As next year’s director, I hope to take the agency to the next level and make Hubbell Connections a household name across all majors in the college.
Claire and I have been working over these past few weeks to restructure Hubbell Connections into an organization open to more than just PR students. With our new model, based highly off of the GolinHarris g4 model, the agency will be incorporating students from creative backgrounds, marketing backgrounds and even a few finance majors. The model will also give PR students with a specific skill set or interest the opportunity to specialize more, with social media, media relations and account service divisions. More than anything, I am hoping this new model will give all Hubbell members the opportunity to interact with one another, instead of being excluded to their account teams.
I have worked with the agency for the past two years as both an account associate and an account executive, and am thrilled to now be the director! I plan to maintain the great relationships Claire has worked so hard to build this year while hopefully branching off and getting new clients as well. Anyone who is willing to put in the effort and work hard will have a great experience with Hubbell and I look forward to building our team next fall.
